The Lalit introduces Chef Trapani, a globally celebrated culinary expert for his ‘Tex-Mex’ and Event/Banquet Centric cooking, through a 5-city tour of New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata.
Chef Chris Trapani is the first transgender chef to appear on the Food Network in the United States. Since, his arrival on the scene over a decade ago, Chef Trapani has grown leaps and bounds. He has also been a role model for the rights of the LBGTQIA community. He has lived by the words “do not let fear and shame control your life” and has been an inspiration to numerous people across the globe. Today, I am hoping to touch and inspire some lives in India. I want to thank Mr Suri for giving me this opportunity. I have heard a lot about the country and can’t wait for the journey to begin.”
During his tour across the cities Chef Chris will be conducting a skill development workshop for the members of the Transgender community and will bring forth his specialties in American-Mexican cuisines for the trucking and outdoor catering arm of the group. He would also share his personal anecdotes on how to set-up and run a successful food truck & catering business and also what it takes to follow the passion for food beyond work place discrimination’s.
